Welcome to Red Flags Friends where we share your warnings for everyday issues. Red Flag! Please submit your Red Flags through the Contact page. Many thanks!

Red Flag #9? ~ Borrowers/Freeloaders can ruin a friendship.

Scenario: Judy has a horse trailer so she can go places with her horse. Her neighbor tags along with her horse frequently. But the neighbor does not reciprocate trailer clean up upon a completed ride. Once in a while she gives gas money.

Judy decided to lay out a fair solution for hauling her neighbor’s horse. But the neighbor ignores payback just enough to be irritating. They are great neighbors other than this issue. Judy is feeling taken advantage of, but she doesn’t want to start a neighborhood feud over it.

Movie Goers Who Text During Showtime

Welcome to Red Flags Friends where we share your warnings for everyday issues. Red Flag! Please submit your Red Flags through the Contact page. Many thanks!

Red Flag #8 ~ Movie goers who text, suck. Scenario: I’m at the movies. Inadvertently someone always ends up sending a  text during the show. Their screen lights up and those of us  in the vicinity get ‘screened’. These morons ignore announcements to put their cell on OFF. I’m sure I’m not the only one this happens to. What do others do besides stay home and watch Netflix?

Team Players Who Don’t Play.

Welcome to Red Flags Friends where we share your warnings for everyday issues. Red Flag! Please submit your Red Flags through the Contact page. Many thanks!

Red Flag #7 ~ Nonproductive co-workers. What is with work mates who are part of the team but do not contribute to the bottom line. They always ‘act’ busy, but no results are forthcoming. If a project lead is not confrontational then this work mate gets off easy. This is probably a double edge sword; a peer who either does not know how to work or won’t, and a manager who won’t make this person produce. Ideas?

Editor’s Idea> A few choices: Live with it because you are out numbered; Change work groups, of course this could be the company norm; Find a new job in or out of the company; Go over everyone’s head quietly exposing them which may backfire; Confront all of them yourself which will make you unpopular; Go back to the 1st idea, live with it.

Bought the House Now Where’s the Refrig?

Welcome to Red Flags Friends where we share your warnings for everyday issues. Red Flag! Please submit your Red Flags through the Contact page. Many thanks!

Red Flag #6 ~ One house = 2 refrigerators + 1 headache. I bought a house through a Realtor. Closed the deal and when I took possession I noticed the refrigerator I thought I bought was replaced with an older, inferior model. Although this refer worked, I am mad. I confronted the Realtor as the appliances were included in ‘things’ that went with the house. Unfortunately, there were no model numbers on the appliances on the list. The Realtor says I’m SOL. I would take that Realtor, or former owner, to small claims court but the time and hassle is worth more than just buying a new frig. There is no answer here, more just a HEADS UP to readers to check the fine print on their contracts.

Editor’s Note > OUCH! Thanks for sharing with us who read. Who knows it may cost someone a refrigerator one day!

I Always Call, She Doesn’t

Welcome to Red Flags Friends where we share your warnings for everyday issues. Red Flag! Please submit your Red Flags through the Contact page. Many thanks!

Red Flag #5 ~ What’s Her Problem, Me?
I am the one to call my long distance friend after its been awhile. She is always glad that I called and profusely apologizes for not doing so herself. Sometimes I wonder if I never called again, if she would care. Is she lazy? Does she want my friendship? What is the deal with her?

Does Not Talking = A Red Flag???

Welcome to Red Flags Friends where we share your warnings for everyday issues. Red Flag! Please submit your Red Flags through the Contact page. Many thanks!

Red Flag #4 ~ Is His Tongue Tied?
Whenever we have a conversation that taps an emotional subject he shuts down and won’t talk. So then our issues are never resolved because there is only my 1 way conversation. So I am asking the site editor their thoughts on this scenario. Editor?

Editor’s Take > I’d say your partner is using passive aggressive tactics to control the conversation. In other words, he don’t want to talk about it, and so neither will you. That’s a big Red Flag for the future success of your relationship.

Red Flag #3 ~ Lunch Money
Okay, we have all been here. You go to lunch with a group. Your table is served as ‘one’. The tab comes and some chip in their fair share, others don’t. Someone ends up handling it in the end and chipping in the extra.

Any great ideas out there for cheap skates? Let’s here your comments!

Welcome 2 Red Flags Friends!!!

Welcome to Red Flags Friends where we share your warnings for everyday issues.

Everyone can share their Red Flags. Just describe your Red Flag and submit it. This blog is audience based so your contributions are important. Silly or serious bring it on! BTW excuse the delays in posts as things are still getting tweaked out on our end.

So we’ ll start the Red Flags:

Red Flag #1 ~ He Uses Your Car on Date Night?
Your date asks you out over the phone, as is customary. When he comes to pick you up he wants to take YOUR car because it gets better gas mileage. What do you think of this? I call him CHEAP.

Red Flag #2 ~ Who Gets the Bill, Pays the Bill
My date asks me out 2 dinner. We both have a great time. The tab comes due and the new boyfriend doesn’t pick it up . . . in fact stalls. We are still talking of course, but the bill stares both of us in the face. It’s a distraction, especially after the waiter comes by looking for it. I make no advance towards paying it. Eventually he does. What do you make of this move? Cheap? Hopeful that I’d chip it? Or, is he on his own time table?
